
The NEK Council on Aging is pleased to be a partner with NEK Prosper, an accountable health care community bringing together several area health and human service organizations. This summer, they are promoting an exciting wellness program that features several opportunities to stay active across our area. The Energize 365 and Energize Expedition Community Wide Campaign to Promote Physical Activity is a strategy of the Physically Healthy Collaborative Network of NEK Prosper.
Energize Expedition! offers a chance to challenge yourself, your family, and your friends to find new and fun places to be active in Caledonia and southern Essex counties. Download this formand complete six events between July 1 and August 31, 2019 and get a free Energize 365 T-shirt.
The NEK Council on Aging will be participating in the program by offering three FREE wellness classes. Tai Chi for Fall Prevention, led by Jenny Patione, will take place on 7/11 at 10 a.m, 7/25 at 10 a.m., 8/8 at 10 a.m., and 8/22 at 10 a.m in the Main Street Park in St. Johnsbury.
Golden Ball Tai Chi, led by Patricia Anderson, will take place on 7/15 at 4 p.m., 7/18 at 9:45 a.m., 8/1 at 9:45 a.m., and 8/14 at 9:30 a.m. at the Main Street Park in St. Johnsbury (with an alternative location in case of rain in the Good Living Senior Center (St. J House) on Main Street.
Golden Ball Tai Chi, led by Madeline Winfield, will take place on July 23rd at Bandstand Park in Lyndonville.
