Tech for Today

Our Technology for Today program helps our elder community members clear tech hurdles using computers, tablets, cell phones, and the Internet.

Home visits are our most frequent means of helping. Office visits and virtual help sessions are also options. We commonly solve problems in a single visit, though a series of support sessions are provided when needed. We can help get equipment set up; troubleshoot problems; look for ways to save money on Internet, cable, satellite, home phone, and cell phone services; and much, much more.

Tech for Today services are available at no charge to those aged 60 and older in Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties. If you or a loved one needs tech support, call our Help Line toll-free on (800) 642-5119. Also call if you would like to volunteer to be a part of our growing support network.

Relay Conference Captioning

Could you or a loved one benefit from live captioning of conference or video calls through a laptop, computer, mobile phone or tablet?

One of the best features of Relay Conference Captioning is that you can use this service at no cost on any device! All that is required is an internet connection and a VT phone number. The captioning is done by a person and not a machine with 98% accuracy. This is a free service contracted by the State of Vermont. Learn more by clicking the button below.
