It's March for Meals!

Take a Friend to Lunch!

Each March, Meals on Wheels celebrates the historic day in 1972 when a national nutrition program for seniors was added to the Older Americans Act. This legislation supported the rapid growth of the Meals on Wheels network that now collectively serves 2.8 million seniors each year.

Now is a critical time for you to support your local Meals on Wheels and urge Congress to protect, strengthen and invest in these proven and effective programs by increasing federal funding so that it is available to every older adult in need for decades to come.

Join us in helping our 14 meal site partners to SAVE LUNCH!

Nine of our area elder meal sites serve congregate meals--the public is always invited to join them for lunch! If you are 60 and older, there is no required cost (but a suggested contribution is always appreciated). For those under 60, the cost is typically just a few dollars (less than $10).

Take a friend to lunch and support the critical work that these organizations provide to their communities. The following towns offer a congregate meal site:

Burke

Danville

Gilman

Glover/Barton

Island Pond

Lyndonville

St. Johnsbury

South Ryegate

West Barnet

Use the link below to obtain the days/times/and contact information. Simply stop by the meal site on the day they are serving around 11:45 a.m. Thank you. Click here for the list of meal sites and their locations and serving times.
