Join Our Mission: Become a Board Member and Help Shape the Future

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of older adults in the Northeast Kingdom? The NEK Council on Aging is seeking community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors. As part of our board, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of aging services in Orleans, Essex, and Caledonia counties.

The NEK Council on Aging is one of five Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in Vermont and part of a national network focused on supporting older Americans. Our mission is to ensure that elders in our region have access to vital services like home-delivered meals, home care, transportation, and caregiver support. By joining our board, you’ll help guide these efforts, creating a lasting impact on the lives of older adults in your community.

We’re looking for board members who care deeply about elder issues, can actively participate in meetings, and bring experience in areas like administration, finance, or public relations. Board members attend monthly meetings, serve on at least one committee, and help support our fundraising efforts.
