Watch Out for Scams

Mel Reis • Mar 12, 2024

They are on the rise!

Our Tech for Today Program Coordinator, Neil Glassman, has made us aware of the increasing number of scams affecting our area elder friends and neighbors. Here are some helpful tips.  If you have concerns, please reach out to our helpline (800) 642-5119.

In addition, the VT Consumer Assistance Program provides support to those who have potentially been scammed (to report it) or unfortunately, scammed already.

Call them at 800-649-2424 or e-mail AGO.CAP@vermont.gov

Here is an article on the top 10 scams targeting those over 60.
